Multi-Character Group Conversations

Currently, Venice only supports one-on-one conversations with AI characters. I'm requesting the implementation of multi-character group conversations where users can interact with multiple AI characters simultaneously in a single chat thread.

Problem: The current limitation forces users to either:

  1. Create separate conversations with each character and manually manage context between them

  2. Use a single conversation but manually roleplay all characters, which breaks immersion

  3. Instruct one AI to roleplay multiple characters, which doesn't provide authentic character interactions

Proposed Solution:

  • A group chat interface where users can invite multiple AI characters to a single conversation

  • Each character maintains their distinct personality, knowledge, and conversational style

  • Characters should be aware of each other's presence and can interact with each other

  • Ability to address specific characters directly (using @CharacterName syntax)

  • Option to add/remove characters from ongoing conversations

Use Cases:

  • Dynamic roleplaying scenarios with multiple characters interacting naturally

  • Storytelling with ensemble casts

  • Collaborative problem-solving with characters having different expertise

  • Social simulations and relationship dynamics between multiple characters

Benefits:

  • More immersive and realistic roleplaying experiences

  • Eliminates the need to manually manage context across separate conversations

  • Creates opportunities for emergent storytelling through character interactions

  • Enhances the value proposition of Venice's character system

This feature would significantly enhance the platform's appeal to roleplayers, storytellers, and creative users who want more dynamic interactions with AI characters.
