A rival to OpenAI’s Deep Research Assistant

Provide a built in AI agent that acts like a dedicated research assistant. You give it a prompt (a question or topic), and it:

Searches the Web: It intelligently browses the internet, finding relevant information.
Iterates: It doesn't just stop at the first search. It analyzes the results and asks itself, "Do I need more information?" This creates a loop of searching and refining.
Generates a Report: Once it has gathered enough information, it compiles a complete report for you.

Very good tool, which has the advantage of being very nimble and easy to build from, but as-is, it’s more for “simple query retrieval”, which I suspect is more or less what the team is already doing with “Web-enabled research”.
A better, more “Deep Research”-like alternative is the one from George Larson below in the comments (link here: https://github.com/georgeglarson/deep-research-privacy

Definitely want this as well and I think it would be a large step towards making sure Venice can rival those huge AI giant systems like ChatGPT.

It’s ok but it’s not really a Deep Research clone, more like a high level search & summarize helper. Great tool, but not exactly “Deep Research”-like.

While I personally think that a self-hosted tool is better (for me), it would be indeed good to have this feature to make Venice look on-par with other tools like Grok & such. The pricing could be separate as well, since there are costs for data retrieval (search requests and crawling). It could be a nice revenue-generating opportunity.
