The problem:
They promise privacy and decentralization, but the payment process is more complex than that of centralized competitors. This is a glaring contradiction.
What’s wrong:
VVV/DIEM are not payment currencies.
They are investment/incentive instruments.
Forcing users to understand tokenomics just to pay for a subscription is absurd.
They don’t accept Bitcoin—the world’s most private, decentralized, and widely adopted currency. This speaks more to a desire to promote their own token than to facilitating private access.
The current workflow is a UX disaster. A user who wants privacy must:
Understand what VVV is
Understand what DIEM is
Learn how to use Base/DeFi
Stake tokens
Wait for activation
The solution is obvious:
Implement direct payment with Bitcoin
(Lightning) and Monero for Pro subscriptions. No intermediary tokens. No staking. No complexity.
Wallet address → Payment → Immediate access.
Now that would be private. Now that would be practical. Now that would be consistent with your brand.
Conclusion:
The current system seems designed to benefit VVV holders, not users who value privacy. If Venice wants to be the standard for private Al, it must eliminate payment friction. Until then, the promise of privacy remains theoretical, as the payment process exposes more data and involves more complexity than the competition.
